LEAP - How to apply

Do you find fulfilment in solving challenging problems? Do you lead by listening, lifting and enabling people to achieve great unexpected results?

The LEAP programme seeks (future) leaders and change makers who are promoting innovative ways of tackling complex, linked social and environmental problems at their roots: highly skilled developers, entrepreneurs, creative designers and intrapreneurs, who have new ideas or innovations that they have introduced or want to introduce.

Government officials, financiers, or researchers who work for institutions that help innovations to flourish are also welcome to apply. An important part of the programme is to link participants together and create ecosystems of change makers who jointly can act as systems entrepreneurs and increase the transformative impact on society.

LEAP is aimed at individuals who have an entrepreneurial mind-set of collaborative problem solving, and who acknowledge that a better future for people and planet requires new ways of thinking and acting.

Criteria to apply:

  • You are a permanent resident or citizen of one of these countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Sweden or Ukraine.
  • You are approximately 25-40 years of age
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English
  • You have an international aim and thinking
  • You are an expert within your field
  • Your interest is deeply rooted in social and environmental sustainability, as well as new technological and social innovations
  • You will be engaged and actively participate in the programme
  • You can be present at both modules
  • You have experience of leading and mobilizing around urgent issues
  • You are a team player and a leader in your community
  • You have the capacity to contribute opinions and reflections whilst accepting and learning from different perspectives in a group

All applicants will be notified about the status of their application during the week of 20 August 2018. Some applicants may be contacted for a video interview the week of 5 August, with the interview taking place between 13-17 August 2018.

Accommodation, food, travel and visa

All costs related to accommodation, food and transport during the LEAP programme are covered. The programme will pay for transportation to and from the modules locations, but participants are responsible for costs related to transport within their countries.

During the programme all participants will be insured against acute illness and accident.

Participants are responsible for obtaining their visas in good time before departure to the modules. Note that the cost for the visa will have to be borne by the participant.

We will provide a letter of invitation and an insurance certificate for the visa application. Selected participants will receive more information about the visa process after having been accepted to the programme.
