Felix Barbour is interested in navigating a just transformation to a postgrowth economy
Barbour is a master’s student at the SRC. His interest in plants’ responseto global environmental change nurtureda drive to understandthe social structures underlying those changes, and how to transform them.
Barbour holds a BA in biochemistry fromthe University of Cambridge, writing his research dissertation on photosynthesis in coral reef algae.During his studies, he also took courses in chemistry and plant sciences.Hisotherresearch experienceincludestomato epigenetics, and plant–pathogen interactions.
Outside of academia, Barbour works with a selection of environmental activist groups.
