Chiara Pia works as a research assistant in the Mistra Food Futures programme at SRC
Chiara Pia is a research assistant in the Mistra Food Futures programme at SRC. Her research focuses on evaluating conceptual frameworks for food systems, as well as identifying barriers and possibilities for a sustainable food system in Sweden. She also analyses Swedish and EU policies and their alignment with targets for sustainable future scenarios.
Pia holds a Bachelor’s degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Trieste in Italy, and a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Food Systems from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
Prior to her position at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, Pia worked as a research assistant at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. There, she was involved in the EU-funded project UNISECO, a participatory case study research on the possibilities to increase sustainability through agroecological practices in Swedish meat and dairy farms. She was also involved in the analysis of the EU Farm to Fork Strategy and its possible application in the Swedish context.
