Resilience reading list

Top 25 centre publications

Centre science director Carl Folke lists the top 25 publications that have come out of the centre in the last four years

Text

Since the start in 2007 researchers at Stockholm Resilience Centre have been hard at work and productive in publishing articles in scientific journals. We wanted to give you the pick of the litter from the past five years, to help keep you from being bored in the hammock over summer, so we asked centre science director Carl Folke for a list.

"It is truly a challenge to pick 25 favourite journal articles from the SRC out of the more than 450 published from the start of 2012 to the end of 2015, a major challenge indeed," says Folke.

"Below you will find my choices. The list is not systematic in any way, it simply represents what I find are very nice, timely, interesting and thought provoking contributions on resilience and social-ecological systems. In another context, on another day the list may appear slightly different, but in any case great reading guaranteed!"
